Director, Disaster Recovery and Business Contingency Planning
Lee is an IT professional with a broad range of experience in Project Management, Network Management, Data Center Management, Vendor Management, Customer Support, military telecommunications networks support and technology consulting.
Lee began his career at First Tennessee Bank and rose to leadership positions in the IT infrastructure environment as the bank built and upgraded several data centers and went through network and technology changes over the years. He was a key component managing the relationship between the internal bank users, IT outsourcing partners and infrastructure providers. His IT roles included coordinating and participating in business continuity and disaster recovery planning, network performance management, and services procurement. With Lee’s knowledge of the banking functions and the network enterprise he was involved in many of the innovation projects to move the bank from a local banking business to a national financial services institution.
At FedEx, Lee served as a Technical Advisor participating in telecommunications projects to implement SONET technology between corporate offices and the first ISDN work-from-home deployment.
His most recent experiences have been in providing consulting and subject-matter-expertise to the Shelby County Government in evaluating IT infrastructure projects and offering independent opinions on the feasibility, cost-benefits and soundness. At the City of Memphis, Lee was involved in the project to virtualize the server environment and consolidation of three data centers into a co-located data center with the County.
Lee holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Master of Science degree in Telecommunications and Information Systems Management both from Christian Brothers College.
