Lee Miller

Vice President, Disaster Recovery and Business Contingency Planning Practice

Lee is an Information Technology professional with a broad range of experience in data center management and relocation, network management, vendor relationship management, customer support, military telecommunications network support, technology consulting and project management. Currently Lee specializes in developing and implementing disaster recovery and business continuity programs to meet regulatory and compliance requirements as well as to meet customer business needs.  Lee is a proven leader highly skilled in the areas of business and IT assessments, incident response, business impact analysis, disaster preparedness, risk management, development of recovery strategies and contingency planning.  He has experience working with clients in numerous industries, including financial services, local government, transportation and information technology.

Lee began his career at First Tennessee Bank and rose to leadership positions in the IT infrastructure environment as the bank built and upgraded several data centers.  He was a key resource managing the relationships between internal bank users, IT outsourcing partners and infrastructure providers. His roles included coordinating and participating in business continuity and disaster recovery planning, network performance management, and IT services procurement. With Lee’s knowledge of the banking functions and the network enterprise, he was involved in many of the innovation projects to move the bank from a regional banking business to a national financial services institution.  Lee also served several years as a Technical Advisor at FedEx participating in high-level strategic telecommunications projects to implement key infrastructure solutions for the worldwide transportation and business services leader.   Lee joined CIO Services in 2011 after spending several years providing consulting and subject-matter expertise in evaluating IT projects for local government IT organizations.

Lee holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Telecommunications and Information Systems Management both from Christian Brothers University.  Lee is currently a member of the Association of Continuity Professionals and is on the board of the Alpha Memphis Education Foundation.
